Realtime Animated Feature Film (2022)

The biggest project I have been a part of. This feature-length animated movie was assembled entirely in the Unity Realtime engine, a first in the industry! I was lucky to work on this project for over 2 years on multiple steps.

  • My first main task was modeling and texturing clothes for one of the main characters, as well as general modeling, prop-rigging, procedural texturing and set-dressing.

  • My second task and the one I spent most of my time on was taking on the visual effects for the entire movie alongside a couple other artists.

    I taught myself to use the Unity Visual Effects Graph and the Unity Shader Graph to create over 50 different effects, ranging from particles to animated materials. The job was to create templates that we could easily repurpose, as well as the technical aspect of animating the effects, setting them up via the Timeline, and insure they worked visually with our expected render quality.
